Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport in the United States will add special ablution stations to make it easier for Muslim travelers to meet their needs before worship. The stations will be installed separately in the women’s and men’s restrooms in Terminal D.
The specially designed areas will allow travelers to perform ablution more comfortably and safely before prayer.
Another aim of the project is to reduce wet floors and the risk of slipping caused by washing feet in existing sinks. The initiative also seeks to prevent damage to sink countertops.
The stations, which will be financed through private funds, are planned for completion by the end of 2026.
