Emine Erdoğan pays condolences in Doha for Qatar's Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani
Emine Erdoğan announced on social media her condolence visit to Doha following the death of Qatar's Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. She extended condolences to Sheikha Moza bint Nasser and the Qatari people.
Emine Erdoğan paid a condolence visit in Doha following the death of Qatar's Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. The visit took place as part of a program where she accompanied President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
In a post on her social media account, Emine Erdoğan said, 'We paid a condolence visit following the death of the Father Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.' She added, 'I pray to Almighty Allah for mercy upon Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and I extend my heartfelt condolences to my dear friend Sheikha Moza bint Nasser and to the friendly and brotherly people of Qatar.'
Erdoğan's post was dated July 14, 2026. The death of Qatar's former leader was met with sorrow across the Islamic world and the region.
