Erdogan says criminals in Gaza try to cover up their atrocities by slandering Turkiye
President Erdogan stated that they reject the slanders against Turkiye by the criminal network that holds the blood of 75,000 innocent people in Gaza. Erdogan also emphasized solidarity with Venezuela and the need to increase satellite capacity.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in his address to the nation following the Cabinet meeting, said that the perpetrators of crimes against civilians in Gaza are trying to hide their atrocities by slandering Turkiye.
Erdogan said, "We completely reject the slanders against our country by a criminal network that holds the blood of 75,000 innocent Gazans, especially children and women."
Reminding that Turkiye has opened its arms to those fleeing persecution throughout history, Erdogan referred to the right of asylum provided to those fleeing Nazi persecution. Erdogan said, "Those who slander Turkiye to cover up their atrocities in Gaza know this best."
Message of solidarity with Venezuela
President Erdogan also sent a message of support to Venezuela, which has been shaken by successive devastating earthquakes. Erdogan said, "Turkiye is supporting the friendly and brotherly people of Venezuela, who have been shaken by two major earthquakes, with all its means."
Emphasis on satellite capacity
In his speech, Erdogan also touched upon Turkiye's work in the space field, noting that increasing satellite capacity is not a choice but a necessity for the country.
