Iran and Saudi Arabia discuss increasing cooperation in Hajj organization
Head of Iran's Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Alireza Rashidian met with Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Tehran Abdullah bin Saud Al-Anzi. The two sides discussed critical issues regarding Hajj and Umrah organization, emphasizing the need for timely initiation of the Umrah visa process for Iranian pilgrims.
Head of Iran's Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Alireza Rashidian held a meeting with Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Tehran Abdullah bin Saud Al-Anzi. The meeting addressed enhancing cooperation between the two countries on Hajj and Umrah organization.
Rashidian thanked Saudi officials for organizing the Hajj rituals and the services provided to Iranian pilgrims. The parties agreed on the need to continue cooperation to offer better services to pilgrims.
A key agenda item of the meeting was the timely initiation of the Umrah visa process for Iranian pilgrims. It was noted that this step is critical to enable Umrah companies to align with the schedules for travel to the holy sites.
