Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reported it carried out a military operation against US forces stationed in Kuwait. In the operation dubbed 'Operation Nasr 2,' naval and aerospace forces launched a combined missile and drone attack.
A statement from the IRGC Public Relations Office said the targets were a C-RAM early warning system and a position where US troops were located. The statement also addressed the Kuwaiti people, claiming the US is 'committing crimes' against 'Muslim Iran' from Kuwaiti soil, and called on Kuwaitis to 'cleanse their country of the aggressors' and fulfill their Islamic duty.

This attack came after a night in which US warplanes targeted Iran's southern coastline and cities. In recent days, mutual actions have continued between Iranian forces targeting American bases in the region and US aircraft striking Iranian territory.
The Iranian government claimed that more than 30 civilians were killed in the US attacks in the south of the country. It was also alleged that a children's cancer hospital in Ahvaz, near where shells reportedly landed, had to be evacuated as a result.
