The Al-Aqsa Mosque, a holy site for the Islamic world in occupied East Jerusalem, was the scene of a raid by Israeli settlers. The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that more than 170 settlers entered the holy compound under the protection of Israeli soldiers.
Local sources reported that after the raid, the settlers performed Talmudic religious rituals in the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Mosque. The incident was recorded as a new example of Jewish settler activities in occupied Palestinian territory and violations by Israeli forces against Muslim places of worship.
