Yemen army reports 414 attacks
Amid the ongoing fighting with the Houthis in Yemen, the army announced that 414 attacks had been carried out on various fronts across the country over the past 24 hours. Military spokesperson Majid al-Nuzayli made the statement Tuesday night.
Al-Nuzayli said the operations targeted Houthi reinforcements and military capabilities. The Yemen army also claimed that the attacks caused losses among Houthi fighters and in military equipment.

The Houthis did not immediately comment on the Yemen army’s statement.
356 operations reported the previous day
Yemen’s Defense Ministry said Monday that government forces had carried out 356 operations against the Houthis on 10 fronts.

The ministry said 476 Houthi members had been killed or wounded in the operations.
Fighting continues in Yemen
Yemen was plunged into conflict after the Houthis seized control of the capital Sana’a and some provinces in 2014. A Saudi Arabia-led coalition intervened in Yemen in 2015 to support the country’s internationally recognized government.

The fighting intensified in September. The Houthis took control of several key areas in the provinces of Hudaydah and Taiz, including the strategic city of Mokha, and reached Mayyun Island, which overlooks the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
