In the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis city, healthcare worker Maysara Salah Al-Khawaja was killed when a civilian vehicle he was in was targeted by an Israeli drone. One person was also seriously wounded in the same attack.
Attack in Gaza City
A civilian vehicle was hit by an airstrike in front of the Al-Saraya Field Hospital, affiliated with the Palestinian Red Crescent, near the Al-Rahhab Shopping Center in western Gaza City. The Palestinian Red Crescent announced that its teams transported the body of a girl and three wounded people from the scene to the hospital.
Local sources reported that the attack occurred in a densely populated area on Ahmed Abdul Aziz Street and that the person killed was 17-year-old high school student Raghad Hussein Ashour.
Ongoing Clashes
The Israeli army opened heavy artillery fire on eastern areas of Gaza, while helicopters also targeted the Al-Zaytun neighborhood southeast of the city. These attacks constitute a violation of the ceasefire agreement announced in October 2025.
The Gaza Health Ministry announced that 1,021 more Palestinians have been killed and 3,249 wounded since the ceasefire came into effect. The ministry stated the total toll from the ongoing attacks since October 2023 is 73,032 killed and 173,357 wounded.
Israeli attacks have destroyed approximately 90 percent of Gaza's infrastructure. The United Nations estimates the cost of rebuilding the region at around 70 billion dollars.
