Al Nassr secured their third win of the season by beating Al Ettifaq 3-2 in Dammam on matchday three of the Saudi Pro League.
The visitors played most of the match with 10 men after their goalkeeper Bento was sent off in the 12th minute. Despite this, Al Ettifaq went into halftime with a 2-0 lead through Ondrej Duda’s goal in the 31st minute and Álvaro Medrán’s stoppage-time strike.
Sadio Mané led Al Nassr’s second-half comeback. Mané scored in the 74th and 90th minutes, while Abdullah Al-Amri also contributed to the win with his goal in the 77th minute.
Al Nassr’s Portuguese star and five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo started the match in the starting XI but was substituted at halftime.
Reaching nine points after three matches, Al Nassr remained alone at the top of the Saudi Pro League. Al Ettifaq, who suffered their first defeat of the season, sit sixth with six points.
