Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz issued a threatening statement, saying that if Iran attacks Israel, they will respond with a 'crushing blow'.
In an interview with Israel's Channel 14, Katz said, 'If Iran attacks Israel, it will receive a crushing blow and it knows that.' The Israeli minister argued that the media is trying to hide Israel's achievements and that they are presenting these successes to the public.
Among these achievements, Katz listed the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and other Iranian commanders. However, these claims have not been independently verified.
Meanwhile, Hebrew media reported on Saturday that the U.S. might launch a major attack on Iran at a time when Israel has raised its defense alert level. Israeli security officials were reported to have criticized U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to cancel a planned large-scale attack on Iran.
U.S. President Trump also announced on Friday that the U.S. would 'hit Iran very hard until it says it cannot take it anymore.' Trump claimed that the war with Iran was 'going very well' for the U.S.
According to claims, for 13 days until the end of last July, the U.S. and Iran carried out mutual military attacks. It was alleged that Washington conducted airstrikes on targets inside Iran and that Iran targeted American military facilities and equipment in Arab countries such as Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
Before these developments, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Washington and Tehran in June, and negotiations for a final agreement began. However, the process stalled due to disagreements over navigational safety in the Strait of Hormuz.
In late February, according to Tehran, more than 3,000 people died in the attacks launched by the U.S. and Israel on Iran. It was claimed that American and Israeli soldiers died in Iran's retaliatory strikes.
