President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a joint press conference with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Istanbul on Saturday, July 4.

Speaking there, Erdoğan said, "The current war-addicted Israeli government must not be allowed to once again fill our region with the smell of gunpowder and blood."

Following the inter-delegation talks, the two leaders addressed bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues at the meeting.

President Erdoğan emphasized that Turkey supports and will continue to support every step that reduces tension in the region and resolves problems through diplomatic means.
Erdoğan stated, "We will continue to act in solidarity with brotherly countries, especially Pakistan, to strengthen peace, stability and prosperity in our region."
Noting that Turkey aims to create an environment where all people in the region can live in peace and security regardless of faith, Erdoğan added that Ankara intends to deepen cooperation with Islamabad in the fields of energy, transportation, critical minerals and information technologies.
