Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref announced that his country is prepared for the 'worst-case scenarios' that could emerge in the next two years amid rising regional tensions. Aref's statement came after the US-Israeli attacks that began on February 28 and, according to Iran's claims, have caused more than 3,000 deaths.
Speaking to the semi-official Fars news agency, Aref stressed that the Tehran administration has made the necessary plans to deal with all possible worst-case scenarios. The Iranian official said, "The government has prepared the necessary plans for all possible worst-case scenarios that could be encountered in the next two years. Protecting the comfort and stability of citizens will remain our primary goal."
Aref also underlined that there are no problems in the supply of goods in the country thanks to the harmony among citizens and the current market stability. Iran had claimed that there were also casualties on the US and Israeli sides in retaliation for the attacks that have continued since February 28.
