Brig. Gen. Mohammad Reza Naqdi, an adviser to the IRGC commander-in-chief, said Iran’s military budget is only 1% of the US military budget and claimed the US had been defeated in seven months.
Hilal Times Editorial DeskUpdated:
Brig. Gen. Mohammad Reza Naqdi, an adviser to the commander-in-chief of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, said Iran’s net military budget is only 1% of the US military budget, yet the US and Israel have been at war with Iran for seven months. “The US president claims they have the world’s strongest army. Then why were they defeated in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran?” he said in remarks carried by Iranian media.
Naqdi also claimed the US had been “defeated in seven months” and that any military attack on Iran would be “suicide.”
