Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf responded to US President Donald Trump's remarks on Iran via social media.
In a post on X on Friday night, Ghalibaf said, 'Think about calling another nation hungry when over forty million of your citizens receive food assistance.'
The Iranian official stated that such a statement was 'not a declaration, but a projection,' and argued that the US misleads the public by attributing its own problems to others.
Ghalibaf emphasized that Iran makes its own decisions regarding its assets and called on US officials to focus on malnutrition rates in their own country. 'Keep your SNAP advice to yourself. Our assets, our choices. Look at your own malnutrition rates,' he said.
