Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said economic pressure on the country had increased in a message about Iran’s economic conditions.
In a statement posted on his X account, Pezeshkian claimed that the United States and Israel were trying to impose economic pressure on the Iranian people by cutting off the country’s vital lifelines.

Economic pressure has increased. However, with Allah’s help, the support of the people and the government’s efforts, we have not allowed the enemy to achieve its goals through economic warfare.

The Iranian president also said that the government had established a new body to manage emergencies.
Meanwhile, the dollar’s selling rate on Iran’s free market rose to 269,000 tomans, reaching a record high.
