Iraq's state news agency reported, citing the Iraqi Border Ports Authority, that the Abdali border crossing, the main land gateway between Kuwait and Iraq, reopened to traffic as of Sunday.
The Kuwaiti military had earlier stated that the Abdali crossing was temporarily closed due to a drone attack that took place on Thursday. Kuwaiti officials said the attack caused material damage but resulted in no casualties.
Located in Kuwait's northern Jahra Governorate, the Abdali border crossing serves as a key transit point for passenger and commercial traffic between the two countries.
The party behind the attack has yet to be identified.
