Israeli forces continue military operations against Palestinians in Gaza despite the transition to the second phase of the ceasefire agreement. Although U.S. President Donald Trump described this phase as an important step for security and stability four days ago, the intensity of attacks in the Gaza Strip has not diminished.
Numerous targets, including hospitals, medicine warehouses, and tents sheltering displaced civilians, have been hit by Israeli attacks. The retrieval of a fetus from the rubble of a bombed house and blood trails on the streets demonstrated Israel's violation of the ceasefire. Last weekend, 26 more Palestinians, including women and children, lost their lives.
The attacks and the ongoing blockade are deepening the humanitarian crisis in Gaza by the day. As hunger and disease spread, aid teams are working under difficult conditions. In a debris removal operation in the area, the discovery of the bones of a baby killed in an Israeli strike once again laid bare the tragedy unfolding in Gaza.
The Palestinian Health Ministry stated that the shortage of medicine continues, turning into a "silent destruction" that threatens patients' lives, and that the treatment of cancer and blood disease patients is at serious risk.
The ministry stated that since the ceasefire took effect in Gaza on October 10, Israeli attacks have killed 1,250 people, wounded 4,110, and 804 dead bodies have been pulled from the rubble. The ministry reported that the total death toll from Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 2023 has risen to 73,375, with the number of wounded reaching 174,220.
