In Taybe, a town in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon, the Israeli army carried out demolitions with three powerful explosions. Lebanon's state-run NNA news agency reported that explosives were also used in the town of Hadassa, with the sound of the blast heard in surrounding towns.
The towns of al-Mansouri and Buyut al-Siyad, linked to the city of Tyre, were subjected to Israeli artillery shelling. The Israeli army had seized control of many areas in southern Lebanon through heavy airstrikes and an occupation operation launched on 2 March.
Attacks continue despite ceasefire agreement
After a 10-day temporary ceasefire that took effect on 17 April and was extended several times, direct negotiations in Washington led to a framework agreement signed between Lebanon and Israel on 26 June. However, Israel continues its attacks on various points in the south despite this agreement.
According to the latest data from the Lebanese Health Ministry, the death toll from Israeli attacks since 2 March has reached 4,333. The Lebanese government had previously announced that the number of displaced people due to the attacks exceeded 1 million.
