Israeli occupation forces launched large-scale military raids across the West Bank on Sunday evening. During the operations, demolition orders were issued for homes north of Jerusalem, while acts of violence were carried out against Palestinian civilians in other areas.
According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli soldiers first entered the area around the Qalandiya military checkpoint north of Jerusalem. Demolition orders were distributed for four residential buildings there, and photographs of the structures were taken.
In the southern West Bank, WAFA reported that Israeli troops entered the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, but did not carry out any arrests or house searches.
In the northern Salfit governorate, Israeli soldiers entered the town of Kifl Haris, spread through the streets, closed roads and imposed tight military measures. According to WAFA, these measures were taken to protect attacks by Jewish settlers on Islamic sites in the town.
Palestinian official radio Voice of Palestine reported that a raid was also carried out at the al-Hasba junction east of Nablus. Additionally, Israeli forces detained a group of young men at the entrance to the town of Deir Ghazaleh, east of Jenin.
Stun grenades were used during a raid on the town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah, while toxic gas canisters were fired during an operation in the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of the city. The official radio reported that no injuries or arrests were recorded in these incidents.
Since Israel launched its genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023, army and settler attacks have intensified in the occupied West Bank. According to official Palestinian figures, more than 1,182 Palestinians have been killed, around 13,000 have been wounded, and nearly 24,000 have been detained during this period.
