Israeli military forces raided a home in the western countryside of Dera province in southern Syria, according to Syria's official Al-Ihbariye news channel. The channel reported on Saturday that an Israeli patrol entered a house in the Wadi al-Raqqad area and conducted a search.
The channel confirmed the incident but provided no further details. No official statement has been issued by either Israel or Syrian security officials.
Southern Syria has witnessed repeated Israeli military interventions for months, including house raids, civilian arrests, and the establishment of military checkpoints.
Israel's military presence in the region has increased following the fall of the Assad regime in December 2024. Israel declared that the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement was no longer valid and took control of a buffer zone.
The Damascus government demands Israel's full withdrawal from Syrian territory. Emphasizing that Tel Aviv's steps in the region lack legal basis, officials call on the international community to pressure Israel to comply with international resolutions.
