Konya to host Palestine national team on Palestine Day
Konya, the OIC’s 2026 Youth Capital, will host Palestine’s national football team on September 30 for a friendly against TÜMOSAN Konyaspor as part of a Palestine Day program.

The Turkish city of Konya, named the OIC’s Youth Capital for 2026, will host Palestine’s national football team on September 30 for a “Palestine Day” program, including a friendly against TÜMOSAN Konyaspor under the slogan “Our Home Is Your Home.”
Organizers aim to give the Palestinian team, which plays most of its international matches away from home because of the occupation, a sense of playing at home and to send a message of peace and solidarity to the world.
According to the municipality, the match kicks off at 20:00 at the MEDAŞ Konya Metropolitan Stadium, with free admission and live coverage on TRT Spor. The Palestinian delegation arrived on September 26; which squad will play has not been officially announced, as the senior team is in China at the same time.
