A new shipment of cash dollars sent from the United States to Iraq has arrived in the country. Iraqi government spokesperson Haydar al-Abboudi made a statement on the shipment.

Abboudi said the transfer of cash dollars was carried out under agreements aimed at ensuring the continuity of foreign-currency flows and meeting Iraq’s need for foreign exchange. He said the process was continuing in line with existing policies.

The Iraqi government spokesperson had previously announced that Prime Minister Ali al-Zaydi had reached an agreement with the United States to continue shipments of cash dollars.
