Plumes of smoke rose from an Aramco oil refinery in Riyadh on Saturday after an attack claimed by Yemen’s Houthis, media reported. Saudi media said flights were suspended at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam; Saudi authorities have not commented. The Houthis said Saudi jets carried out 94 airstrikes on Yemen in 24 hours.
Turki al-Maliki, spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition, rejected the Houthi claim of targeting Riyadh, calling it "misleading." Al-Maliki said the Houthis were trying to use the claim to cover up the extent of their losses and growing public anger.
