Syria seizes weapon depots in Aleppo anti-ISIS operation
Syria's internal security forces and intelligence agency carried out a joint operation against ISIS in Aleppo. Members of the group were detained and stockpiles of weapons and explosives were seized.
Syrian state television announced that internal security forces and the intelligence agency had conducted a joint operation against the ISIS terrorist organization in Aleppo and its countryside. A statement on Tuesday said the operation concluded successfully.
An unspecified number of ISIS members were captured during the operation. Weapons, ammunition and explosive material depots in central Aleppo and the eastern Al-Bab region were also seized.
Syria had joined the US-led international coalition, formed in November 2025 to combat ISIS in Syria and Iraq.
