Pro-Palestinian protesters in the Japanese capital Tokyo called for a full boycott of Israel during a march where they raised Palestinian flags.
Videos widely circulated by activists showed participants carrying a huge banner reading in Japanese, "Boycott! Israel is an apartheid state," alongside signs calling for an end to genocide. The date on which the footage was filmed could not be independently verified.
Protests continue in Tokyo
Pro-Palestinian events have been held repeatedly in Tokyo in recent weeks. Around 1,000 people took part on October 7, marking the third anniversary of the start of Israel's war on Gaza, in a march that covered about 4 kilometers in the Shibuya district.

Last week, protesters gathered outside Ikebukuro Station to condemn Israel's actions in Gaza and the West Bank, calling on Japanese companies to end their dealings with Israeli military companies.
