US President Donald Trump announced on his Truth Social account that a substantial agreement has been negotiated with Iran and that the final elements are still being discussed. Trump stated that, in addition to other elements of the agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will also be opened. He also mentioned that he consulted with regional leaders through phone calls regarding the agreement process. The leaders consulted included President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and other regional officials.
