Türkiye’s Ambassador to Sudan Fahri Türker Oba met Mohamed Majdi, Turkish Airlines’ Port Sudan Station Manager. According to the Turkish Embassy in Khartoum, the meeting focused on the airline’s operations in Port Sudan.
Turkish Airlines resumed flights to Sudan on Sept. 17, 2025, with its Istanbul–Port Sudan route, making the city its 63rd destination in Africa, after suspending service to the country due to the war that broke out in April 2023.

Three flights a week
The airline launched the route with two weekly flights and increased them to three a week from Sept. 29, 2025. The flights are operated with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
