Turkish Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş visited the Turkish School in Riyadh, meeting students and teachers during an official visit to Saudi Arabia, Türkiye's education counsellor's office in Riyadh announced.

Students in traditional costumes welcomed the minister, who toured the classrooms, joined activities with the youngest pupils and posed for photos with the teaching staff.
Göktaş was in Riyadh for the International Social Responsibility Forum, where on Monday she addressed a ministerial session on developing corporate social responsibility at a global scale, saying family-, child- and elderly-centred social responsibility should be reflected more strongly in international standards.

On the sidelines of the forum, she also held bilateral talks with counterparts from Singapore, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain on strengthening families, protecting children online, empowering women and including people with disabilities and the elderly.
