US congressman claims he was detained by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank
Democratic US Congressman Ro Khanna stated he was detained by Israeli soldiers in the occupied West Bank, rejecting the Israeli army's denial of the claim.
Democratic US Congressman Ro Khanna went public with an incident he experienced in the occupied West Bank. Khanna stated he was detained by Israeli soldiers during a visit to the area.
Speaking to NBC News, Khanna said: "The Israeli army is lying," and that the soldiers detained them. The US congressman added: "Security cameras might show they were complicit in the detention of US citizens."
Khanna's claims contradict the Israeli army's statement denying the incident. The Israeli side had previously denied the allegation that the US delegation was detained.
