Arda Güler scores and assists as Real Madrid beat Valencia 3-0

Turkish star Arda Güler scored Real Madrid’s second goal and assisted Kylian Mbappé, helping his team beat Valencia 3-0 in La Liga.

Real Madrid beat hosts Valencia 3-0 at Mestalla in La Liga, with Turkish midfielder Arda Güler contributing a goal and an assist.

Fede Valverde opened the scoring in the 28th minute before Güler added the second in the 36th minute with the inside of his right foot after receiving a pass from Jude Bellingham on the left side of the penalty area. The 21-year-old celebrated by sliding on his knees.

In the 75th minute, Güler set up the third goal for Kylian Mbappé, who scored in his seventh consecutive match. Valencia captain José Luis Gayà was shown a straight red card in the 79th minute. With the victory, Real Madrid matched Barcelona’s points total at the top of the table.

Güler returned to the starting lineup after the coach rested him in the Champions League match against AEK Athens in midweek. He has now recorded three goals and four assists in his last six matches.
