Cooperation began with a 2023 agreement
Baykar and Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Defense signed an agreement in 2023 for the export of Bayraktar Akıncı combat unmanned aerial vehicles and cooperation in this field.
The agreement provided for Bayraktar Akıncı unmanned aerial vehicles to enter the inventory of the Saudi Armed Forces. Under the agreement, Baykar also planned to provide training, technical support and logistics services.
