Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot condemned the Houthis’ latest attacks on Saudi Arabia, saying that the resumption of fighting in Yemen had worsened the humanitarian crisis in the region.
Speaking on X on Thursday, Prévot said Belgium stood in solidarity with Saudi Arabia and offered Riyadh its full support. He described attacks targeting Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and civilian infrastructure as unacceptable and extended his condolences to the families of those killed and injured.

The Belgian minister said more than 200,000 people had been displaced because fighting had resumed in Yemen and stressed that the attacks must stop.
Prévot also called for civilians to be protected wherever they are, regional tensions to be reduced, humanitarian aid to be delivered and diplomacy to resume.
