Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdelatty backs Iran deal in call with US envoy Witkoff
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a phone call with US Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff. Abdelatty reiterated his support for resolving regional crises through dialogue and welcomed the US-Iran agreement as an important step for regional stability.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a phone call with US Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff.
During the call, the Egyptian minister stressed that his country supports all efforts to resolve regional crises in the Middle East through dialogue and diplomatic means.
Badr Abdelatty also expressed his welcome for the memorandum of understanding reached between the US and Iran. Abdelatty stated that the agreement is an important step toward reducing tensions in the region and strengthening security and stability.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister underlined the need for the countries party to the agreement to adhere to it.
