Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke during his address to the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York about defense cooperation between Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, as well as his country's approach to humanitarian crises.
Erdoğan said the defense alliance between the three countries strengthens their solidarity and seeks to find solutions to the region's problems from within the region.
Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan signed a mutual defense agreement in August 2026 to strengthen their collective security and develop their defense cooperation.
Erdoğan: I will continue to be a voice for the oppressed
In another part of his address, Erdoğan affirmed that he would continue to stand with the oppressed, those affected and those without a voice, pointing to Türkiye's responsibility to address the consequences of wars, conflicts and crises.
