Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf spoke about the fulfillment of the conditions put forward for reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Ghalibaf said the strait would not reopen unless Iran’s 7 conditions were implemented.

Ghalibaf said that, contrary to the statements reported in the media, the United States had made a proposal to Iran through mediators. Saying that the era of unilateral demands had ended, Ghalibaf argued that the United States was aware of Iran’s determination.
The Iranian Parliament speaker claimed that threatening rhetoric had intensified alongside economic pressure and military initiatives. Ghalibaf argued that contradictory statements by U.S. officials were intended to confuse the Iranian public, adding that his country based its policy decisions on facts rather than threat-laden statements circulating online.

While the Iranian delegation was in the United States on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, it presented 7 conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz under Qatar’s mediation. U.S. President Donald Trump, meanwhile, announced that they had not accepted Iran’s conditions.
Speaking in parliament on Sunday, Ghalibaf said Tehran was ready both to fight and to negotiate, that new moves would be answered and that diplomatic tools would also be used to defend the rights of the Iranian people. He said Washington had sent some proposals through mediators after Iran presented a seven-day roadmap for reopening the Strait of Hormuz. The conditions Iran conveyed to the United States through Qatari mediation include a comprehensive ceasefire on all fronts, the release of frozen Iranian funds and an end to the naval blockade of Iranian ports.
