National dialogue agenda in Cairo
The Hamas delegation will meet with various Palestinian groups and factions as consultations continue במסגרת initiatives related to Palestinian national dialogue.
The agenda will include advancing the national dialogue process, bringing the positions of Palestinian groups closer together, and discussing issues concerning the current period and developments in the Palestinian cause.

Severe conditions in Gaza and the West Bank
Palestinian national dialogue is considered important because of the severe humanitarian and political conditions in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. More than 74,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 175,000 injured in Gaza since October 2023.
Israeli military operations and settler attacks have intensified in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. During this period, 1,210 Palestinians have been killed, 13,350 injured and 26,000 detained.
Palestinians warn that the attacks in the West Bank could pave the way for the region's formal annexation by Israel. Such a step would undermine the possibility of establishing the Palestinian state envisaged in United Nations resolutions.
The historical background to the Palestinian issue includes the displacement of at least 750,000 Palestinians during Israel's establishment in 1948, followed by the occupation of much of the Palestinian territories.
