Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem announced that Lebanon and the resistance have entered a new phase he called 'Breaking the Israeli Project.' Qassem emphasized that Israel's project in recent years aimed at eliminating Hezbollah militarily, politically, culturally, socially, and humanly has failed.
Sheikh Qassem stated that the resistance on the battlefield was the main factor in achieving this result. 'If the resistance had not been on the battlefield, and if there were not these legendary, great martyrdom-seeking young people ready to sacrifice themselves, who fill the world with noble examples, we would not have achieved this result,' he said.
The Hezbollah leader reported that political pressure was exerted on the resistance during the war. Noting that some politicians and countries said, 'Israel is strong, you are not stronger than it,' Qassem said, 'Yes, we know Israel is strong, but who said we accept to bow to Israel because it is strong? This is our right, and we do not give up our right.'
Qassem argued that the resistance is the only guarantee to liberate the lands and protect independence and sovereignty. Referring to the words of former Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, he said, 'Resistance in all its forms is the only way to liberate lands and holy sites and reclaim rights; all other paths are a waste of time.'
Part of a 15-month patience strategy
Sheikh Qassem emphasized that the 15-month patience process was not a retreat but part of the strategy. Stating that the resistance made the decision to enter the war at the moment it deemed most appropriate, Qassem said, 'When we saw the appropriate moment on March 2, we entered this war and seized this opportunity.'
Expressing gratitude to Iran, the Hezbollah leader said, 'We thank Iran and tell you that you are the most honorable people in the world.' Noting that Iran did not accept any agreement that would end the war against it before the war on Lebanon ended, Qassem asked, 'Is there any other country or group in the world that would do this?'
Qassem rejected analyses that Iran made deals, sold out Hezbollah, or stopped funding because its interests were more important, saying, 'These people do not know Iran, the Supreme Leader Khamenei, the Iranian people, or the Revolutionary Guards.'
Full Israeli withdrawal is a condition
Sheikh Naim Qassem stated that the Israeli aggression did not achieve its goals and its project was broken, and that the resistance is standing, ready, and continuing. He emphasized that at this point, Lebanon's rights must be fully reclaimed and the attacks must stop.
Qassem said, 'As for the claims that Israel is concerned about its security and has the right to protect its security, if it is concerned about its security, it blew up all our security. Are we dealing with someone who blew everything up or someone who says he is concerned?' The Hezbollah leader added that Israel is also an occupier in Palestine.
