Iran's army announced that the only safe route for commercial ships and oil tankers transiting the strategic Strait of Hormuz is the one it has determined.
The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters stated that the US violated the ceasefire regime and agreements by failing to comply with its obligations.
According to claims conveyed by Iranian military sources to Tasnim news agency, the US attacked some targets in southern Iran while the body of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was still in Iraq.
The headquarters statement emphasized that any interference in the operation and management of the Strait of Hormuz is unacceptable.
Previously, US Central Command (CENTCOM) had announced that it struck more than 80 military targets near the strait in response to Iranian attacks on commercial ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
The Iranian side, in retaliation for these attacks, claimed that 85 US military targets in Bahrain and Kuwait were struck.
