The Tehran administration issued a stern warning in response to US President Donald Trump's threatening statements against Iran. Ali Akbar Velayati, chief advisor to Iran's leader Ali Khamenei, once again reminded that there is no room for political adventurism in the region, in a statement on social media platform X.
Velayati warned the US, saying, "We have repeatedly proven that adventurous actions will be met with an immediate response." The Iranian official criticized Trump for causing new tensions, arguing that the US President violated an agreement he had previously verbally accepted and plunged the region back into flames.
These remarks were a response to Trump's speech at the 36th NATO Heads of State and Government Summit held in Ankara. After his meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy, Trump told the press, "We struck them very hard last night. Most likely, we will strike Iran hard tonight."
