Iran's Oil Ministry shared the latest figures on the country's oil sales revenue with the public. The ministry stated that oil sales exceeded $11 billion in the four-month period between March 21 and July 22.
Data for the previous period was also released. The ministry reported that oil sales revenue stood at around $8 billion in the period from December 22, 2025, to March 20, 2026.
The ministry stressed that the statement was issued in response to claims that Iran's shrinking foreign exchange reserves were due to weak oil sales and that the country's economy was on the verge of collapse because of the Oil Ministry's performance.
While it is claimed that Iran's annual oil revenue was around $50-60 billion in the years before US and Israeli attacks on Iran, it is stated that oil sales declined after the US blockade in the Gulf of Oman.
