Rear Admiral Mohammad Ekberzade, Deputy for Political Affairs of Iran's Revolutionary Guards Navy (IRGC Navy), spoke at a ceremony in the port city of Bandar Abbas in the south of the country.
Ekberzade expressed that recent developments have once again confirmed the importance of maintaining Iran's military, political, and social resilience.
The official referred to the recent wave of aggression by the US and the Israeli regime targeting the Islamic Republic, noting that these attacks were met with the country's determined and successful retaliation.
Addressing the policies of enemies, Ekberzade said that enemies change their behavior not out of goodwill, but in the face of demonstrated power.
"The enemy retreats when it sees your power, not because it sympathizes with you," he said.
Ekberzade also touched on the ongoing diplomatic contacts between Tehran and Washington, emphasizing that power remains the ultimate assurance in any future agreement.
"In any agreement, the real guarantee is power," said Ekberzade, adding that Iran will not back down if the other side fails to fulfill its commitments.
"We negotiate to secure our rights, not to make concessions," he stated.
