Iraq's Ambassador to Moscow Abdul-Karim Hashim Mostafa announced that his country is ready to host talks between the US and Iran if necessary.
Mostafa recalled that Iraq hosted the first indirect US-Iran talks in 2014, saying, "Iraq is always ready to play this role, but it depends on the will of the US and Iran."
The ambassador stated that the conflict involving Iran, the US and Israel has not greatly affected the lives of ordinary Iraqis. Mostafa said, "Unfortunately, most of the Israeli missiles flew towards Iran not only through Iraqi airspace but also through Syria, Lebanon and sometimes Jordan, and very few countries have the technical capability to counter this."
