In the town of Ya'bad in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces emptied a building inhabited by two Palestinian families and turned it into a military headquarters. The town lies southwest of the city of Jenin.
Local sources said the forces entered Ya'bad on foot from the south. A total of 15 family members living in the three-story building, which belonged to two brothers from the Kiniri family, were forced to leave.
Local sources said Israeli forces frequently raid Ya'bad and destroy belongings inside homes. The building evacuated in the latest incident was then used for military purposes.
Raids in different cities and towns
Israeli forces also raided a home in Khirbet al-Rakeez, in the Masafer Yatta area south of Hebron. Wafa reported that the forces searched the home, destroyed belongings and arrested a Palestinian.
In the village of Abu Anjim, southeast of Bethlehem province, the forces entered three homes and searched houses belonging to brothers. No information was provided about any arrests in these incidents.
Clashes broke out during raids
Clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces during raids around the Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem and in the towns of Qarawat Bani Zeid, Kafr Ein and Deir Ghassana, northwest of Ramallah. The forces used tear gas and stun grenades during the clashes.
Clashes also took place in the Abu Faraa Bedouin community near the village of Taybeh, east of Ramallah, after Palestinians confronted an attack by settlers.
Settler attacks targeting Palestinians and their property in the West Bank have increased since October 2023, when Israel's war on the Gaza Strip began.
