Israeli forces raided homes and set up a checkpoint during separate operations carried out on Monday in Syria’s southern provinces of Daraa and Quneitra.
The forces entered the village of Mairiyeh in western rural Daraa and raided numerous homes.

In Quneitra province, a checkpoint was set up on the Ain al-Nuriyeh–Khan Arnabeh road.
Figures released by the Syrian administration
The operations took place as Israeli military activity continued in Syrian territory.

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa said in a speech last week at the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly that Israel had carried out approximately 500 air and artillery strikes against Syria since late 2024.
Al-Sharaa also said that more than 1,200 raids had been carried out in Syrian territory during the same period and that approximately 300 people had been detained and arrested.
