Israel is increasing pressure and violence against Palestinians not only through its ongoing attacks in Gaza but also in the occupied West Bank. Recently, Israeli military operations and settler attacks have intensified in the region.
Israeli attackers from the illegal Havat Maon settlement reportedly raided the village of Tevane near Hebron. Village Council President Mohammad Rubi stated that the attackers threw flammable materials, setting fire to the Tevane Mosque and two homes belonging to Palestinians Kamal Musa Rubi and Mahmoud Salman Rubi. Rubi said most of the targeted structures were burned and that the attacks occurred under the protection of Israeli forces.
The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs described the torching of the mosque as 'crossing all red lines.' The attackers also damaged Palestinian property, including a vehicle.
In a separate incident in the West Bank, a 30-year-old Palestinian woman who suffered a heart attack in Ramallah allegedly died after Israeli forces held up an ambulance at a military barrier at the town's entrance for more than 30 minutes.
Since October 2023, there has been a major increase in attacks by the Israeli army and settlers in the occupied West Bank. According to official Palestinian figures, 1,181 Palestinians have been killed, around 13,000 injured, and nearly 24,000 detained during this period.
Meanwhile, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is deepening due to ongoing attacks and the blockade. At least 15 Palestinians were killed and many wounded in attacks over the past day. The health system has collapsed, with shortages of medicine and medical supplies, as well as a sharp rise in infectious diseases and cancer cases.
