Framework of the Iran-US understanding
Iran and the US had announced that, on June 14, as part of the negotiation process mediated by Pakistan, they reached a 14-point understanding that provides for a ceasefire and resolution of issues through talks.
The parties are expected to return to the table for a final agreement after the memorandum of understanding is signed on June 19 in Switzerland with the participation of the heads of the two countries' negotiating delegations.
The process is expected to cover issues such as Iran's nuclear program and the lifting of sanctions.
