Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement ahead of his Washington visit that he will discuss Iran with US President Donald Trump. The two leaders are scheduled to meet in Washington on Tuesday, July 28.
Following the weekly cabinet meeting, Netanyahu announced the expansion of Israeli military operations in the West Bank. He said that raids on villages, searches and arrests will continue to increase.
The Israeli prime minister stated that two Palestinians were detained in an operation at a hospital in Nablus, claiming they had been hiding there. He also announced that the homes of the individuals in question would be demolished.
Netanyahu also recounted his conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio last night. He noted that Rubio conveyed that the US intends to take action against the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Reacting to the arrest warrant issued by the ICC against him and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Netanyahu argued that the court endangers justice worldwide. The Israeli prime minister claimed that Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan had created a protective shield to divert attention, and said, "That shield has now been removed."
Netanyahu added that he will travel to the US tomorrow to attend the funeral of the late Senator Lindsey Graham. He described Graham as "one of Israel's greatest friends since its founding."
