Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is “completely” healthy and has no ongoing health problem, adding that injuries to his face and legs have healed.
In an interview with Fox News aired on September 24, Pezeshkian said he met Khamenei about a month ago and that their meeting lasted more than seven hours, covering issues facing Iran including affordability, unemployment, sanctions, national unity and wartime resilience.
“The implementation of the policies is in the hands of the administration and the government, but the consultations and the directions come from there,” Pezeshkian said, referring to the supreme leader.
Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared in public since the start of the war, when he succeeded his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was assassinated at its outset.
