US approves potential $4.5 billion sale of KC-46As to Qatar
The US State Department on Thursday approved the potential sale of $4.5 billion worth of KC-46A aerial refueling aircraft and related equipment to Qatar, a deal expected to strengthen the country’s strategic role in regional security. The proposal includes four aircraft, eight PW4062 turbofan engines, radar warning receivers and laser transmitter systems.
