From Nov. 1, 2026, social network providers in Türkiye may not serve children under 15, under a regulation drafted by the Presidency's Cybersecurity Directorate and published in the Official Gazette on Oct. 10.
The ban covers all domestic and foreign networks accessible from Türkiye. New users’ ages will be checked via an e-Devlet "age verification token," and sign-up requests from under-15s will be rejected.

Accounts of 15- to 18-year-olds will be private by default, without live streaming or personalized ads. Platforms must offer parental controls allowing families to manage settings, limit usage time and approve payments.
Existing accounts have until March 31, 2027, to complete age verification; accounts found to belong to under-15s will be closed.
